East Hume Regional Communication Service

People who have complex communication needs are unable to communicate effectively using speech alone.  They and their communication partners may benefit from using different forms of communication eg. gesture, communication device, photos, symbols .

This program is a part of a state-wide speech pathology initiative that aims to enhance services for people with a disability who have complex communication needs.
A partnership between Ovens and King Community Health and Wodonga Regional Health Service allows for an equitable service across the East Hume region (7 local government areas).  The project has a strong emphasis on building the capacity of organizations, businesses and community to communicate effectively with people with complex communication needs.
