Our service includes:

Withdrawal support  - for at-home or hospital inpatient withdrawal including access to our 24-hour support line.  This process enables people to begin to make changes to their substance use including early discussions about identifying the key issues and establishing goals to planning a reduction or cessation program.  

24 hour telephone support line - for clients of the service and their carers to maximise local support options, particularly through the early phases of treatment.  

Counselling - can help people to begin to deal with the effects of their substance use, rebuild relationships, work opportunities and healthier lifestyle options.  Sessions are also available to family members.  

Pharmacotherapy support - A service to support both individuals prescribed medication for the treatment of opiate dependence, as well as for the health professionals such as GP prescribers and Pharmacists.  

Drug diversion - assessment, counselling and education for those with drug or alcohol related offences, usually referred to us through the police or legal system.  

Secondary Consultation - We use both community development and health promotion principles to address broader issues relating to alcohol and other drug misuse in the community. Individual secondary consultation is provided to other professionals such as GPs, nurses, welfare staff, teachers, housing workers and child protection staff.  

Professional Education - development and delivery of workshops and seminars for health, education and welfare professionals.   

Schools Education -  an innovative multi-agency partnership approach since 2005 "Drug Ed Expo"  

Training in Industry - work with managers and supervisors re dealing with Alcohol and Other Drug issues in the workplace.  

Facilitated group work - such as family or carer support groups

Our service can link you with a worker who covers your area.  If we believe we are not the most appropriate service for you, we will endeavour to identify and link you with a service that would better meet your needs within the region.
