The Victims Assistance and Counselling Program (VACP) provides a high quality service to victims of violent crime to assist their recovery from the effects of the crime and reduce the risk of further victimisation.
This position is part of the Counselling and Support Services Program and reports to the Program Manager.
The position provides case management, information on the legal system, advocacy, practical assistance and referral to counselling. It will also participate in a range of community education and health promotion activities.
The successful applicant will work within a client centred framework, providing a holistic approach to client needs and goals. They will require a driver's licence and employment will be subject to the successful completion of a police check.
