Friendly Visiting Program

Ovens and King Community Health Service have been running the Friendly Visitor Program in Bright for over 18 years which continues to grow and deliver HACC clients a meaningful and enjoyable service. Ovens and King CHS coordinates the Friendly Visitor Program in the Bright area. 

The aim of the Friendly Visitor Program is to establish friendships between socially isolated people and volunteers. This is to enable the service user to broaden their social networks and support base, and to improve their self esteem and quality of life.

Friendly Visitor Program is available to;

People who are frail aged, younger people with disabilities and their carers, who live at home and whose capacity for independent living is at risk or who are at risk of premature or inappropriate admission to long term residential care.
